tax
The firm has a broad-based tax practice that focuses primarily on the business needs of its clients. The firm offers tax planning advice in connection with business formations, combinations, acquisitions, divestitures, and family transfers, particularly in the context of the closely held business.
Because many of the firm’s matters have tax considerations, the firm’s tax practice works with all of our other groups in order to maximize the tax advantages of transactions. In addition to clients who come to the firm exclusively for tax matters, the tax department interacts with nearly all of the other attorneys in the firm to assist in providing workable solutions to the clients’ business needs. The firm takes great pride in providing creative but practical solutions to the clients’ business problems while remaining sensitive to their individual needs and personalities. Among the types of problems considered are business formations, mergers and other acquisitions, compensation issues, and buy-outs and other business restructurings.
