Mr. Cohen has 20 years of experience in office and retail leasing. Mr. Cohen has served as general counsel to a midtown Manhattan office condominium and prepared complex owner-architect and owner-contractor agreements for a $60 million research and development pharmaceutical facility. He has worked as a lead real estate attorney on several large scale purchases of national retail chains and negotiated several high profile restaurant and retail leases at such venues as: Madison Square Garden, Rockefeller Center, the Seagrams Building and in Las Vegas. In 2005, he presented a lecture on Leasing Pitfalls to the Legal Council in Washington, D.C., a group of general counsel and senior managers of nationally recognized restaurant chains.
Mr. Cohen is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
He received his J.D. with distinction in 1982 from John Marshall Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the John Marshall Law Review. He received his Masters in Public Administration from New York University in 1976. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Queens College in 1973.
