Mr. Bernard is a member of the Litigation Department at Dornbush Schaeffer Strongin & Venaglia, LLP.

Mr. Bernard brings experience as a former prosecutor with the New York County District Attorney’s Office to his practice of white-collar criminal litigation, criminal defense and commercial litigation. As a former prosecutor, Mr. Bernard investigated and prosecuted numerous white-collar criminal offenses including embezzlement, identity theft, insurance fraud, schemes to defraud the public, and unauthorized practice of law. In addition, prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Bernard was a litigation associate at Graubard Miller. At Graubard Miller, Mr. Bernard represented a wide range of clients in commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, real estate and Article 78 petitions.

Mr. Bernard received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. in 2002 and received a double major in Psychology and Africana Studies from New York University in 1997. At the George Washington University Law School, Mr. Bernard served as the Student Director of the Consumer Mediation Clinic assisting local consumers and businesses resolve disputes by negotiating mutually agreeable settlements.

Mr. Bernard is admitted to practice in the State of New York, New Jersey and the United States District Court, Southern District of New York.
